Did you know that PEMF therapy is an effective and long lasting treatment for prostate enlargement? Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a common condition with more than 3 million cases diagnosed annually in the US. Treatments typically include medications that relax the bladder or shrink the prostate, surgery, and minimally invasive surgery.
We stumbled upon two NIH clinical studies that demonstrate PEMF caused a significant reduction in WBC count, PSA antigen, IPSS, and post-void residual urine in addition to a significantly increased urine flow rate. PEMF also reduced inflammatory cytokines and improved cellular metabolism and the clinical manifestations of BPH were significantly diminished for 12 months following treatment. With no adverse effects, PEMF therapy is superior to potentially harmful medications and surgery.
